New email address join@naps.org for new member Form 1187 applications electronically

When signing up new members, we continue to encourage mailing the original Form 1187 applications to our office address listed at the bottom of the form. This is the best way to ensure a suitable application copy for processing. That said, in an effort to provide multiple avenues for submissions, we are launching a new email submission option.

NAPS Headquarters is launching the new email address join@naps.org for submitting new member Form 1187 applications electronically.

Important Information for Email Submissions:

  • To submit a Form 1187 electronically, please include the full name of the applicant in the subject line with the following format: SUBJECT: 1187 – FIRST LAST NAME.
  • Please also include the name of the applicant in the body of the email, as well as your full name (the sender) and branch number. This is particularly important when submitting multiple applications in one PDF attachment. Please include the names of all applicants in the body of the email.
  • The Form 1187 should be sent as an attachment (PDF or image file)—not an image in the body of the email. Photos of applications will not be accepted. It must be a clear, scanned copy (more information below).

NOTE: This email address should only be used to submit NAPS Form 1187 applications. For regular membership inquiries or to check on an applicant’s status, please respond to one of your DCO emails or contact naps.ec@naps.org.

Postal Reform Bill Passes!

Today the US Senate passed HR 3076 by a 79-19 vote, enacting historic bi-partisan postal legislation that will ensure the long term viability of the Postal Service long into the future. Now the legislation heads to the desk of President Biden for his signature.

Thank you for all your support, and again, without your leadership and commitment to SPAC, I am certain this day would not have come … NAPS has much to be proud of today, and it is another reminder of how NAPS is on a roll of success … Our collective leadership is making this happen.

Please share this important news with members in your respective areas, and thank them for their help and support … As always, while we celebrate today, new challenges await on the horizon.

SPAC is the key to continued success on the Hill!

2021 FL STATE CONVENTION HAS BEEN CANCELED!

After reviewing our options and the survey of member interest (40% no and 60% yes ) for holding the state convention the state exec board voted unanimously to cancel the convention for 2021. Since we can not hold convention and elections again this year, all state officers will stay in their current positions until we can safely hold a State Election.

2021 BI-State Convention in Ft Lauderdale Cancelled

Due to social distancing meeting restrictions the FL State board has had to cancel the convention planned in Ft Lauderdale June 10-13, 2021.  The resort does not have meeting space large enough for our group to meet and follow current state and local guidelines. The resort will cancel all reservations for us, you do not need to call and cancel . We are looking into alternate locations and will advise of any future plans.
